JC DANCE Studio is a dance and fitness studio for ALL BODIES, abilities, genders, races, shapes, and sizes located in the heart of ALSTONVILLE, NSW.
Established since 2008, JCDance has become the Northern Rivers, NSW destination dance studio. With a wide range of classes and programs on offer, our students thrive on our fully qualified and accredited professional dance teachers whom offer the very best tuition from our own private facilities. With 10yrs behind us, our studio is still evolving, lifting students closer to their dreams and we are not slowing down!

brittney leshae

Brittney began her dance journey at the age of 12, completing extensive training across the genres of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Brittney went on to complete her major RAD ballet examinations, and later attained her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies to become a Registered Teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. After her 9 years of teaching and choreographing, Brittney is now the proud co-director of JCDance. Brittney aims to foster a love of dance in all her students by providing a nurturing environment with quality training and guidance.

Simonah MACDONALD
TEACHER

Simonah has always had a love for performing and sharing her passion for the arts with others. With a background in dance, drama, and musical theatre, she brings a fun, creative, and supportive energy to every class she teaches.
Over the years, Simonah has trained in a wide range of styles including musical theatre, contemporary/lyrical, jazz, tap, ballet, and acro, and enjoys helping her students discover confidence and expression through movement.
Her stage experience includes roles such as the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, the Lead Witch in Showcase Performance, and the Lead Dancing Cat in Cats of Jiramisu. She has also performed with Doublemask Productions as a tap-dancing villager in How the World Will End.
Throughout her performing journey, Simonah has been recognised for her talent and dedication, earning multiple awards at eisteddfods across Gold Coast, Brisbane, Murwillumbah, and Lismore — including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Highly Commended in both dance and drama. She was also proud to be named Senior Drama Champion in Lismore in 2013.
Simonah holds a Certificate IV in Elite Performance - Dance (CUA40113) and a Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching (CUA30311), and has trained in Musical Theatre at the Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre. Simonah also holds her Silver Teachers Certification in bot Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Acro.
She has also completed qualifications in make-up artistry and hairdressing, bringing an extra touch of creativity to her work in the performing arts.
With her mix of professional experience and a genuine love for teaching, Simonah strives to create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every student can grow, shine, and most importantly, have fun!
DEMEE LESHAE

After beginning her dance training at the age of 4, Demee soon found her passion for dance. Demee holds extensive training and experience in many genres of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Growing up, Demee completed major examinations in both RAD and Cecchetti Classical Ballet, and went on to complete her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies to become a Registered Teacher with Royal Academy of Dance. Demee believes in a strong foundation of technique that is balanced with a confident performance quality. Demee strives to pass on her passion and professional knowledge of dance by providing constructive and encouraging critique that will allow young dancers to further their development in dance.

ANNALIESE KELVIN

After taking her first dance class at the age of 6, Miss Annaliese QUICKLY found her passion for dance. Since then, she has had continued success as both a soloist and troupe member at competitions across the state. Annaliese has also completed several Ballet Examinations including her Major Intermediate Grade and was selected as a company member for the 2019 RB Corp Contemporary Production in Queensland where she performed in several shows. In 2021 Miss Annaliese began her teacher training with JCDance And HAS SINCE COMPLETED HER Certificate IV in Assistant Dance Teaching & CERTficate iv in dance teaching and MANAGEMENT after graduating from dynamite studios full time program 2024. Miss Annaliese is passionate about working with younger students to provide a strong technical foundation for dance.
TORI WALDRON
TEACHER

Tori began dancing at five years old and has truly never looked back. She quite quickly found a love for all things dance and performance and this has been her life passion ever since.
Whilst training at local studios in the area, Tori has grown up competing in our local competitions for over 10 years. At the age of 14, Tori decided that it was teaching and choreography she was most passionate about and began assistant coaching. In her senior years of schooling, she studied HSC dance receiving the highest mark for her core composition and took on dance teaching as her main work.
In 2019, Tori successfully auditioned for the full time academy “Dynamite Studios” on the Gold Coast and began training and studying full-time. With exposure to such a high level of industry training and expertise, Tori began to flourish. Training at an elite level in dance as well as stunting, singing, acting and modelling opened up a whole new world of opportunity for her.
Whilst taking advantage of every professional and performance opportunity that came her way, she successfully completed her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management receiving the “Most outstanding achievement” award for her course.
Tori is young, energetic, extremely passionate and has a new and exciting outlook on the world of dance. In training the next generation of young dancers, she strives to ignite infinite potential in all her students encouraging them to achieve even the wildest of dreams and be the very best version of themselves possible…
Bianka Costigan
TEACHER
Singing & DRAMA
Bianka previously ran a theatre company where she wrote, cast, and directed productions for groups of up to 35 students, giving her a rich understanding of stagecraft, ensemble work, and creative storytelling.
Bianka has extensive experience supporting children with additional needs, including students with neuro diversity, speech diagnoses, and physical disabilities. She is committed to creating inclusive, supportive learning spaces where every student can thrive. Her background also includes tutoring drama students through London Trinity College for drama and speech examinations, with all previous students achieving High Distinctions for their monologues, duologues, and improvisations. Many of her non-exam drama students have gone on to perform in large-scale productions, with two being accepted into WAAPA.
Bianka believes strongly in the power of drama to build cognitive, emotional, and expressive skills. Whether taught individually or in groups, her classes help children and teens grow in confidence, communication, and creative expression. We are excited to have Bianka join us in 2026 and look forward to the expertise, warmth, and creativity she will bring to our singing and drama programs.
